URBAN
LEGENDS
riverdale

This existing triple unit building had seen better days. The mid-90s decor didn't match the original character of the house and the numerous patch fixes covered up plumbing and electrical oddities behind the walls that if left untreated would have eventually led to larger issues.
With strategic and targeted gutting, as well as a judicious use of the materials budget, this old beauty was made stylishly elegent once more!
And bonus! A formerly awkward front room, with a terrific Riverdale view, was transformed into a chic short-term rental unit. Scroll down to see the impactful before and after shots and pardon us while we drool over the dreamy grey blue tile and replica antique sink!
main floor
third floor
Originally the client wanted to get rid of the large patio doors and replace them with a single glass door to gain more wall space for cabinets.
We were able to show how a strategic layout of the kitchen could add more cabinets while still keeping the sunny, airy feeling the doors provided to the kitchen.
short term rental
The client had a vision to turn a small basic bed & bath suite on the second floor into a luxury short term rental.
Once again our team prioritzed the budget in coming up with a layout preserved plumbing more or less in place, and tearing down as little as possible.
The result is a glamourously appointed suite with charm to spare!
